Last night was a great night for a pool party. Heineken linked up with +POOL and Team Epiphany to turn the Watermark Bar into the place to be for the evening. The East River Pool Party went down last night and it gave guests some insight into the +POOL project. The +POOL will hopefully make its way into the East River in the near future.
The concept behind the pool is pretty dope. The idea is to put a +(plus) shaped pool in the East River. The pool will have its own filter system that will clean the River water daily and make it suitable for swimming. A seven-minute doc about the pool project was shown at the event so that people could get a better understanding of what it’s all about. Angela Yee was on hand for a little hosting and surprise performer DRAM came through to give a little performance for the guests in attendance.
Aside from the steady flow of food and beverages, there was plenty of conversation about how to make this project happen. One way is to visit SwimInTheRiver.com and make a donation. Donations begin at $25 and include a tile with your name on it to be on display at the pool. Press play on the video below to see what all the talk is about.
