TIDAL seems to be doing the absolute most to ensure the people that they are better than the competition. The week started with a personalized TIDAL rant from Jay Z followed by a streamed live show with J.Cole. Next up, an announcement of the “TIDAL X: Jay Z B-Sides” show to be streamed on May 13, 2015. This show will be a vintage collection of some of Jay’s best tracks, as he promises to only perform songs that he’s never performed or haven’t been heard in over a decade. If you’re a Hov fan then the epicness of this show is understood. Of course, in order to have access, users need to log in to their TIDAL account.
The J.Cole and Jack White final performance live shows were a pretty dope experience. While nothing takes the place of the energy and momentum of a live show, the TIDAL live experience allows folks to enjoy some of the same energy via computer, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. The show is introduced with a short fan clip and then goes into the artist’s performance. The show will happen in New York City and all TIDAL users can enter to gain access. TIDAL subscribers can create and submit a Jay Z playlist on the site to be considered. The best playlists will be chosen by TIDAL admin and given tickets to the show. All others wishing to see the show can access the performance on 5/13 on the TIDAL app.
The week continues to roll on for TIDAL with a launch of a “Discovery” section. This part of the streaming site will house the music of indie and unsigned artists. TIDAL subscribers will be able to search through the files of both establish and up & coming artists at the same damn time! If you haven’t done so yet, get that TIDAL app or hit the official website to get in on all the fun!
